Our Story
We’re Bruce and Mark, two friends living near the quiet edge of Pickwick Lake, Tennessee, surrounded by tall pines, open water, and the steady rhythms of nature. Pinewick Candles began not as a business plan, but as a way to slow down—melting wax, blending scents, and letting evenings unfold by firelight.
What started as a simple, grounding practice grew into a small-batch candle company rooted in craftsmanship, restraint, and atmosphere. We’re drawn to scents that feel lived-in and familiar—firewood, leather, tobacco, warm spice—alongside softer notes that bring balance and ease.
Each Pinewick candle is hand-poured using a soy–beeswax blend and finished with a natural wood wick for a steady burn and gentle crackle. We make everything ourselves, in small batches, with attention to how a candle feels in a space—not just how it smells.
Pinewick is about creating moments of calm and presence. Lighting a candle, letting the room settle, and taking time where you are. We hope our candles bring a sense of warmth, grounding, and quiet comfort into your home.
